Introducing the Roncemay Golf Club in Burgundy, not far from Auxerre: discover an 18-hole course that winds its way around the estate’s château, taking you through forests, woodlands and lush green plateaus.Created in 1989 by Jean Garaïalde, an international golfer, and Jeremy Pern, designer of numerous international golf courses, the Golf du Domaine du Roncemay offers a majestic setting for lovers of sport and nature. Its 6,219-metre course winds through a forest of centuries-old oaks, beech and birch trees, opening out onto a vast plateau shaped and coloured in the style of Scottish links. This 18-hole international golf course comprises two sections: 11 holes wind through the forest, whilst 7 holes are situated on the undulating plateau overlooking the Icaunais countryside. A challenging course, yet playable by golfers of all levels, it requires some attention to putting on the very large and undulating greens.A very large indoor driving range with 12 bays and 40 grass bays, a putting green and a pitch-and-putt course complete the facilities. Another highlight of the Roncemay estate is a 3-hole practice course for anyone wishing to try their hand at golf.
