Exceptional golf courses, sunshine and low prices in the south of Spain

Your LeClub Golf network is also present in Spain with more than 40 golf courses and resorts, particularly at the gateway to Andalusia, in the region of Murcia. An exceptional golf destination with, in particular, a unique density of Nicklaus courses.
Dreamy weather, easily accessible, modern infrastructure at very reasonable prices.

In winter, temperatures in Murcia range between 14° and 24°: the region is one of the driest in Spain. No wonder that its main economy is the production of fruit and vegetables. Murcia has become the vegetable garden and orchard of Europe!
Other advantages: the accessibility of the destination. Murcia is easily reached by car or by plane (Alicante 40 mns), the oldest and best served, or Murcia 20 mns, the newest (2019). But also the sanitary facilities, the infrastructures in general and security.
Finally, it should be noted that the prices are very attractive in terms of quality/price compared to other destinations.
Ugolf and GNK golfs

Inland, between Murcia and the sea, are the 6 Nicklaus courses, including the famous Condado de Alhama.
Of these six Nicklaus courses, 4 are operated by the local group GNK (El Valle, La Torre, Condado del Alhama, Hacienda Riquelme) while Mar Menor and Saurines de la Torre (the famous desert course that takes you to Arizona) are managed by UGolf Iberia, (the Spanish subsidiary of UGOLF SAS, the European leader in golf management). UGolf Iberia also manages Hacienda del Alamo, a course designed by Dave Thomas, one of the longest in Europe.
It is worth noting that Altorreal is the oldest golf course in Murcia, the closest to the city and the one with the most local members. It was designed by Dave Thomas in 1994.
Green-fees start at 39 euros.

La Manga golf course as a famous neighbour

La Manga golf course remains the best known in the area because it is one of the oldest: its management was successively entrusted to Gary Player, Manuel Ballesteros (Seve’s brother) and Victor Garcia (Sergio’s father).
The three courses are signed by Dave Thomas, Arnold Palmer and Robert Dean Putman.
Packages from 221 euros for 3 nights and 2 green-fees!

Other things to do around Murcia

This golf destination is also a tourist destination that offers a lot of activities for visiting tourists.
From a cultural point of view, there are obligatory visits such as Murcia Cathedral.
Visit Murcia’s Gothic and Baroque Cathedral in the heart of the city, as well as Lorca Castle, an impressive medieval fortress or the Roman Theatre of Cartagena.
For other sporting activities, you should first choose mountain walks, especially in the Leiva-Pozos de la Nieve Valley, which offers one of the most impressive climbing areas in Spain, but also easy walks in the heart of beautiful forests. Rafting possibilities in Caravaca de la Cruz.
