The EMOTION and REFERENCE Label golf courses in the LeClub Golf 2025 network

4th edition of the LeClub Golf Labels rewarding golf courses offering the best golfing experiences

The EMOTION Label rewards golf courses rated highly by LeClub Golf members with a minimum score of 9/10 and at least 35 reviews. The REFERENCE Label rewards golf courses recognised for their quality of service based on precise specifications.

75 golf courses awarded the EMOTION Label in 2025

In the world of golf, every course tells a story, every fairway evokes a feeling, and every green arouses a unique emotion. With this in mind, LeClub Golf has created the Emotion Label, an exclusive distinction that highlights golf courses offering an unforgettable playing experience.

Much more than a simple criterion of quality, this label rewards courses that stand out for their enchanting surroundings, their impeccable maintenance and the warm welcome extended to players.

Golf de la Barouge 1956, an 18-hole golf course in Occitanie, took 1st place in the Emotion 2025 ranking with an NPS of 96.74% out of a total of 134 opinions.

Cédric Alran, President of Golf de la Barouge 1956, tells us more about the golf course’s 1st place:

What impact has the Emotion Label had on your teams and your customers?

For our teams and the management committee, it’s a real source of satisfaction to be able to clinch this 1st place. It’s a source of motivation and involvement, but let’s face it, there’s also a lot of pride. We’ve been taking top honours for three years now, but to win this one is really great for us, especially given the competition, because even though we’re an old golf club (1956), we’re a ‘small sports association’. As President, I’m really enjoying it, because it will help us to raise our profile, to communicate, to become a golfing destination and to attract new golfers. It will also give us greater peace of mind, because we won’t be so defensive, as 2025 will be a complicated year given the economic and political climate.

What do you think is the most difficult thing about maintaining such a high level of quality and achieving such a high rating?

Maintaining this level of quality requires the involvement of the entire team on a day-to-day basis. We try to have a corporate vision with clear objectives, and priority is given to the terrain and the course – it’s essential that the golfing experience is a good one. We also get our members involved by organising gardening mornings in winter and working with trees (our golf course is a real heritage bequeathed to us, with an extraordinary diversity of trees). This winter, for example, we also asked them to take part in a replanting programme called ‘Sponsor a Tree’, which was a real success, enabling us to replant 70 trees. We’re also lucky to have a restaurant owner who listens to our needs and is a great businessman. We’re also in a very welcoming region, the South-West, where conviviality and sharing are important, and that’s also part of our DNA. We also involve our partner club, which enables us to organise competitions and finance certain projects.

What are the golf club’s future plans?

The projects are always the same: the course, the course, preserving it, embellishing it, perpetuating it, making it known and known, improving the working conditions of our teams. There are lots of projects, but we prioritise them because we don’t have the means or the time to carry them all out. We started the ecological transition 2 years ago, so we should normally receive the Bronze Label this year. This distinction, 1st in the Le Club Golf network, should give us the means to move ahead more quickly with all these projects.

A big well done to the whole team at Golf de la Barouge 1956, and congratulations on winning the Emotion award!

Golf Practice Academy in Mérignac near Bordeaux is in 2nd place with an NPS of 96.42% out of 53 reviews.
Golf du Rochat, perched at an altitude of almost 1100 m in Burgundy, came 3rd with an NPS of 95.69% out of 51 reviews.
